MEDIA ADVISORY: GOODWIN UNIVERSITY OPENS STATE-OF-THE-ART NURSING SIMULATION CENTER

RIBBON-CUTTING SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 29

Leadership representatives of Goodwin University will cut the ribbon on the school's new Nursing Simulation Center from 1 to 2:30 PM on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the school's main academic building, One Riverside Drive, East Hartford, Connecticut. The Center features integrated simulation technology for Goodwin's RN, BSN, and MSN programs, providing immersive learning experiences that reflect real-life scenarios for Nursing students.

As of this writing, the ceremony is expected to include remarks from Goodwin University President Mark Scheinberg and Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Professions Dr. Vivienne Friday. Faculty, staff, current students, and Nursing alumni will also attend.

Capital Studio Architects, LLC, long-time collaborators with the University, have created the comprehensive architectural designs for the Center, which include hospital-simulated learning environments, an advanced simulation lab suite, cutting-edge virtual reality systems, and comprehensive labs designed to address the Four Spheres of Care as outlined by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.
