East Hartford, CT (06/17/2026) — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. - Goodwin University is pleased to announce that the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Hartford County Chapter 6 has established a $50,000 Advanced Manufacturing Scholarship Fund to support students pursuing careers in manufacturing.

The fund will provide annual financial assistance to students enrolled in Goodwin's Advanced Manufacturing program at the certificate, associate, or bachelor's degree level.

"Through this scholarship, we honor the legacy of the chapter founder, Al Perrault, who was instrumental in promoting training, support, and employment for manufacturing students," said APICS donor Dan Levine. Mr. Perreault was a member of APICS and formerly served as International President.

"Al was a legend, and this fund ensures his commitment to manufacturing will go on," Mr. Levine added.

Goodwin's Advanced Manufacturing programs prepare students with the technical skills and hands-on training needed to meet the workforce demands of Connecticut's growing manufacturing sector.

"We are delighted to partner with APICS and provide much-needed support to our manufacturing students," said Dr. Jade Stoltz, Director of Development at the University. "Goodwin maintains a strong commitment to workforce development, and this collaboration is of great value to our University."

The new scholarship fund reflects a shared commitment between APICS and Goodwin to strengthen the manufacturing workforce and expand educational opportunities for future industry leaders. Details about Goodwin's manufacturing programs are available at www.goodwin.edu/majors/manufacturing.
