by Philip Moore

East Hartford, CT (03/24/2022) — On March 22, the Goodwin University community gathered on the East Hartford campus for a peace vigil in support of the people of Ukraine. Following remarks from President Mark Scheinberg, more than 100 students, faculty, and staff heard from Dr. Lisa Wisniewski on the history and background of the Russian aggression, and Dean of Students Tyrone Black led a candlelit moment of prayer. Guest speaker and Ukraine native Kateryna Hebert represented Maidan United Inc., a Connecticut-based non-profit founded in 2014 whose mission is to provide much-needed medical supplies.
