Bridgeport, CT (10/23/2023) — Members of the media are invited to join Goodwin University President Mark Scheinberg and University of Bridgeport President Danielle Wilken for the dedication of the Harrison Steans Advanced Manufacturing Center at University of Bridgeport.

Staffed by Goodwin University faculty, the center will initially offer classes at the college level in Welding, with additional training to follow in such disciplines as CNC Machining, Quality Inspection, and Mechatronics. Through Goodwin's Early College Advanced Manufacturing Program (ECAMP), opportunities will also be available for Bridgeport area high school students to earn a college certificate in Advanced Manufacturing.

The new manufacturing center was made possible by a generous donation of capital and scholarship funding from the Bauer Family Foundation. In addition, Congressionally Directed Community Project Funding was secured for the center by U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal and Christopher Murphy.
