Early College Advanced Manufacturing Grads Honored at Goodwin
East Hartford, CT (05/16/2022) — On May 6, the Goodwin University Magnet School System celebrated the graduation of 17 scholars from the Early College Advanced Manufacturing Pathway (ECAMP). The ceremony was held in Goodwin's 15,000-foot Innovation Center on Pent Road in East Hartford on the grounds of the University's campus. Following congratulatory remarks from Goodwin University president Mark Scheinberg, Superintendent of Goodwin University Magnet Schools Dr. Sal Menzo, State of Connecticut Chief Manufacturing Training Officer Paul Lavoie, Capital Workforce Partners Chief Strategist Jim Boucher, and Bank of America Senior VP Jill J. Hutensky, Matt Dadona, Assistant Superintendent of Pathways and Partnerships for the Magnet School System, presented the scholars with their certificates of completion. Members of the 21-credit Certificate Program included Katelyn Archambault (Vernon), Jonathan Baez (Hartford), Leenaysha Dones (hometown), Seth Donlin (Avon), Alexander Fredericks East Hartford), Isiah Holmes (Enfield), Calvin Lynes (New Britain), and Calvin Williams (East Hartford). Previous graduates of the 21-credit program that stayed on to continue their education and earn the 37-credit Certification in CNC Machining, Metrology, and Manufacturing Technology are Khaleel Burke (Hartford) Jarrell Douglas (East Hartford), Angel Flores Vicuna (Hartford), Assan Jallo (Hartford), Jaheim Johnson (Hartford), Mitchell McCarthy (Ashford), Christian Otero (Hartford), Dah Eh Say (Hartford), Saw Myint Tun (Hartford).
