Source to Sea Volunteers Gather at Goodwin

East Hartford, CT (10/16/2023) — On October 14, area volunteers fanned out across the South Meadow Trail to participate in the annual Source to Sea Cleanup at Goodwin University, marking the 14th year of the event. The volunteers donated their time and energy to clear trails, pick up litter and trash, and haul out large bulky waste items from the Connecticut River including washing machine parts and 55-gallon drums. "The volunteers' dedication is a testament to the high regard Connecticut residents place on their natural resources," said Goodwin associate professor Bruce Morton. "We'd like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out to help."
