Goodwin, Turbine Controls Open New CNC Lab

East Hartford, CT (12/08/2021) — On December 7, Goodwin University and Turbine Controls of Bloomfield cut the ribbon to open the new Turbine Controls CNC Lab in the University's Business and Advanced Manufacturing Center in East Hartford. Turbine Controls, a globally recognized independent MRO facility, gifted Goodwin with $125,000 to support educational programming and workforce training. In addition, the company sponsors field trips to its headquarters for Connecticut River Academy students and internship experiences for manufacturing students at Goodwin. In the new lab, students will learn the beginning skills of CNC machining and practice the fundamentals of programming, milling, and tool familiarization.
