Amanda Niemczyk Pinned as Graduate of the Goodwin College Nursing Program

2013 Apr 23

Goodwin College is pleased to announce that Amanda Niemczyk has completed the Nursing Program, joining a prestigious group of future nurses who have graduated from Connecticut's largest program.

Niemczyk, a resident of Vernon, received her Goodwin Nursing pin during a ceremony held on Thursday, April 18, in the Auditorium. The College hosts a pinning ceremony for each graduating class, marking the beginning of many successful nursing careers.

Niemczyk joined 58 other classmates who were pinned. Each has completed rigorous course and clinical work and are eligible to walk in the Goodwin College Commencement Ceremony scheduled for Thursday, June 6.

The nursing graduates followed tradition at the ceremony, which brought an enthusiastic and emotional crowd of family and friends to celebrate the students. Each graduate lit a candle and recited an oath in the example of Florence Nightingale, the pioneering "Lady With the Lamp" who set the nursing standards that all graduates of the Goodwin program aspire to follow.

Goodwin College offers its congratulations to Niemczyk on the achievement and wishes great success to all our new graduates.
